He was predeceased by: his father Tony DeCoensel. He is survived by: his mother Donna DeCoensel; his significant other Arlene Trembley; his sister Karen Erauw (Dave Erauw); and his nieces, Dondréa Erauw (Garrett Mcelver) and Livia Pieare (Brett Pieare).

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the The Greens at Renton (969 Concession 14 Townsend, Simcoe, ON N3Y4K3).

If so desired, donations may be made in Doug's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
