He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; his daughter Wendy Snell (Malcolm Jemmott); and his parents, Edward and Greta. He is survived by: his children, Deb Snell (Brad), Wayne Ryerson, Betty Marie Chadwick (Tine) and Dan Ryerson (Michelle); his brother Neil; and his close friend Phyllis.
