She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelma Ferguson and James Ferguson; and her husband Klaus Mayer. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Mayer and Tyson Mayer; and her grandson Hudson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Simcoe District Humane Society in her honour, reflecting her lifelong love of animals.
