He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Friedlein and Mary Friedlein; and his siblings, Joseph, Carl, Edward Friedlein, Betty Kacur and Dorothy Kafun.
He is survived by: his wife Colette Friedlein; his daughter Linda (Kenneth); his granddaughter Shannon Billy of Mississauga; and his siblings-in-law, Rita Marceau and Welley Carrier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
