He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex (Scoop) and Erie (Jean); his sisters, Brenda Holliday (Lennard) and Linda Moodie (Frank); and also, Arnold, Esther (Helena) and Doug Pickard.

He is survived by: his daughters, Arlene and Karen Hallema (George); his grandchildren, Kristyn, Natalie and Caroline Hallema; and his brothers-in-law, Dave Pickard and Wally Pickard (Annette). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
