She was predeceased by: her parents, Egbert Jansen and Mary (Hotsche). She is survived by: her husband David Raymond of Waterford; her children, James Raymond (Amy) of Heidelberg, Rebecca Duarte (Claudio) of Simcoe and Ashley Goncalves Medeiros (Bruno) of Cambridge; and her siblings, John Jansen (Betty) of Vineland, Ed Jansen (Trivia) of Vineland, Pauline Bennick (Albert) of Welland, Neal Jansen (Sophie) of British Columbia, Henry Jansen, Nelly Overduin (Hans) of Calgary and Alberta.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jason Smith Funeral Chapel (689 Norfolk St N, Simcoe, ON N3Y3R3). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Margaret's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
