It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Herman Smith of Simcoe, Ontario, who passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marguerite Smith and Fred Smith; his wife Shirley; his children, Shari Robb and Kevin; and his siblings, Gladys, Marjorie, Ken and Allen.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Soles Streef, Larry (Deb), Terry and Darryl; his grandchildren, Michelle, Melanie, Michael, Nieka, Jaidin, Jon, Tabitha, Brandon (Melanie), Brittanee (Mikinnen), Jordan, Devin, Candace, Jasper and Dakota; and his siblings, Verne and Phyllis Pollet. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
