He was predeceased by: his spouse Cecilia DeVooght (DeGroote); and his siblings, Bernice, Eric, Frank and Steve.

He is survived by: his children, Darlene Stackhouse (Michael), Odile Brockman-Lee (David), Betty Robins and Ron DeVooght (Gail); his grandchildren, Ryan (Jen), Brent, Jessica (Dave), Kathryn, Stacy, Craig, Emily (Majed), Eric (Emma) and Grant; his great grandchildren, Oliver, Marin, Mackenzie, Zachary, Joey, Clayton, Leah, Adam, Colin and Ryan; and his siblings, Jeannine, Rita and Roger. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
