He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Patterson and Aileen Patterson (MacLellan); his sister Betty Buffam (late Bill); and his nephew Jeff Sergeant. He is survived by: his siblings, Thelma Vincent, Gordon Patterson (Bev), Lorna Sergeant (Stanley), Dorothy Fraser (Peter), Elva Patterson-Rutters and Rob Patterson (Cathy). He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In remembrance of Donald, memorial donations to the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Cancer Society "Wheels of Hope" program would be appreciated.
