He was predeceased by : his wife Arlene Young; his parents, Kenneth Young and Florence Young; and his siblings, Gerry Campbell (Doug) and Ross Young (Linda).

He is survived by : his daughters, Kathy Sonnenburg (Dan) and Judy McKeown (John); his grandchildren, Katie Morrow (Rob), Greg Sonnenburg (Katie), McKenzie Young, Brooke McKeown (Aric), Casey Lee Young and Abigael Young; his great grandchildren, Rylee, Sophie and Quinn; his sisters, Wilma Oliver (Don) of Sault Ste, Marie and Sharon Martineau (Lyle) of Sault Ste; and his siblings-in-law, Mel Morin (late Lola) of Ottawa, ON and Diane Morin (late William) of Calgary, AB.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

With his loving daughters whispering words of love in his ears, Wayne found peace after months of battling complications of Covid-19 on Thursday, July 9th, 2020 at the age of 88.
