He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy "Dolly" Dowdall (Hodges); his parents, Nettie Dowdall and William Cameron Dowdall; and his brother Bill Dowdall. He is survived by: his son Tim Dowdall; and his siblings, Joan Nolan (Lyle), Richard Dowdall and Wendy Brock (Jim). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces and great nephews and great nieces.
