She was predeceased by: her husband John Smyth; her son Joseph (Debbie); her brother John; her parents, Owen McEleney and Ellen McEleney; and her aunt Agnes.

She is survived by: her children, Jim, John (Lorie), Peter (Fiona) and Ellen; her grandchildren, Kathleen, Lizzie (Carter), Jolene (Clinton), Lindsay, Ryan, Shannon (Chad), Jordan, Taylor, Sawyer, Spencer, Zachary (Sam), Hunter (Brooke) and Carter; her great grandchild Ellie; her aunt Ina McEleney; her siblings, Agnes, Jean, Cathy and Mary; her sister-in-law Janette; and her close friends, Wendy, Amy, Cheryl and Debbie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Lombard Manor's Resident Fund would be appreciated by the family.
