He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hewitt and Maude Hewitt; his son Philip Hewitt (Patti); and his siblings, Theresa Simpson (Jim), Alvin Hewitt (Kay), Viola Donaldson (Archie), Doris Hewitt, Danny Hewitt, Anna Kinch (Bob), Glenna Wright (W. J.), Minnie Davis (Keble), Ivan Hewitt, Verda Abear (George), Vivian Street (Cecil), Joseph Hewitt and Orville Hewitt.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Hewitt; his children, Dianne Raby (Brian), Norene Allan (Robert), Reta Troop (late Ross) and Daniel Hewitt (Michelle); his grandchildren, Melissa Raby (Doug), Stephen Raby (Maddie), Christian Allan, Robbie Allan, Michael Troop (Meagan), Philip Troop (Katie), Dallas Hewitt (Amanda), Devon Hee (Stefan), Myles Hewitt, Lucas Hewitt and Paul Hewitt; his great grandchildren, Ben, Ollie, Myla, Norman, Maren, Gavin, Evelyn, Alexa, Tristan, Alistair, Declan and Aurora; and his sister-in-law Reta LaPorte (Albert). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends.
In memory of Elton, donations to St. John's Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
