He was predeceased by: his sister Lorraine Murphy; his parents, John James (JJ) and Kathleen Murphy; his brother-in-law Larry Pilon; his parents-in-law, Earl and Margaret Wilkes; Steve Coughlin.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Murphy; his children, Christopher Murphy (Michelle) and Michelle Pakenham (John); his grandchildren, Alyssa-Lynne, Emma-Jean and Gavin Pakenham; his siblings, Sharon Lamarche (Andy), Clarence Murphy (Donna), Brian Murphy (Judy), Kevin Murphy (Kathy), Ian Murphy (Kelly), Noreen Findlay (Russell), Paul Murphy (Bonnie), David Murphy (Holly) and Mike Murphy (Deb Kirkby); Lynne Pilon and Glenn Wilkes (Veronica). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Blair & Son - Smiths Falls Chapel (112 Beckwith St N, Smiths Falls, ON K7A2C2). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. A reception was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Blair & Son - Smiths Falls Chapel (112 Beckwith St N, Smiths Falls, ON K7A2C2).
