He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard and Isobel; his sister Lila; his brother-in-law Fred "Ted" McGonegal; his brother Fred; his sister-in-law Glenola; his nephews, Lee McGonegal and Ken Sample; his niece Elaine Sample (Steve Moss); and his great-nephew Douglas Glenn.
He is survived by: his daughter Diane Goellner (Richard Ricciardi); his sisters-in-law, Sylvia Humphreys, Gail Code and Jamie Harper (Glen); his nieces and nephews, Lynda Grant (Dan), Julie Sample (Kevin), Bob (Mary Lu), Bill Sample (Jane), Kerry McGonegal (Eric Deere) and Kevin McGonegal (Maureen); Vivian and Holbrook.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 95 (7 Main St E, Smiths Falls, ON K7A1A1).
Memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Plowmen's Association (OPA) and Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation.
