He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Evelyn Saunders; his children, Susan and Bryan; his parents, Frederick Clayton Saunders and Elizabeth Evelyn Saunders; and his siblings, Berniece, Erma, Joan and Ross.

He is survived by: his children, Jean (Michel) and Douglas (Michael); his granddaughters, Diane (Jim) and Joanne; his great grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley (Justin), Stephanie, Robert, Roxanne and Brayden; and his great great grandchildren, Amison and Veralee. He is also survived by extended family, neighbours and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 95, Smiths Falls would be appreciated.
