He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael O'Flaherty and Mary O'Flaherty (Brosnan); and his wife Kathleen. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Damien O'Flaherty (Gayle), Jake, Maggie, Bridget O'Flaherty (Aaron Nault), Mickey, Jasper, Rachel Gemmell (Colin), Darian, Grayson and Nathan; and his sisters, Maria O'Flaherty, Anne Unsworth, Jerome O'Flaherty and Phyllis Brosnan.

In remembrance of Michael, those wishing are asked to consider a memorial donation to the Lanark County Cancer Society "Wheels of Hope" Program or the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation.
