He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Schonauer and Gertrude Schonauer (Lloyd); and his siblings, Gerald Whiteman (late Marion) and Phyllis Easton (late Jack). He is survived by: his siblings, Don Schonauer (late Cynthia), Yvonne Janes (late John), Sylvia Holmes (Earl), David Schonauer (Sandi), Charlie (late Shelly) and Sheila Majore (late Ian); and his sister-in-law Faye Easton. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
