He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Mary Hicks, Frederick Gardiner and Connie Johnson; his uncle Howie Hicks; and his cousin Daniel Johnson.

He is survived by: his parents, David Hicks and Barb Hicks; his siblings, Greg, Shannon and Kevin; his significant other Victoria Gagnon; and his grandfather Dr. Allen Hicks. He is also survived by extended family including many aunts and uncles, as well as twenty cousins, and a wide circle of friends.
