With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William John Oakes of Smiths Falls, Ontario, who passed away on October 12, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Mary Elizabeth "Betty"; his son William "Billy" Oakes; and his siblings, Harold (Wynn), Carl (Margaret), Eleanor (Gordon), June (Ken) and Shirley (Carl).

He is survived by : his son Timothy Oakes (Karen); his grandchildren, Cassandra Bisonette (Tom), Emilly Oakes (Mason) and Matthew Oakes (Robyn); his great grandchildren, Brady, Ava, Owen and Lauren; and his brother Donald Oakes (late Betty). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
