He was predeceased by : his siblings, Leita Shipman of Ottawa, Adeline Bennett (Jim) of Smiths Falls, Clarence (Peggy) of Smiths Falls and Raymond (Maud) of Smiths Falls; and his parents, William Harold and Etta Porter.

He is survived by : his sister Lois Thomas (late Edwin) of Calgary; and his brother-in-law Fred Shipman of Ottawa. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and his entire extended family.
