She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Godin and Olive Godin; and her sisters, Jane, Pamela and Linda.

She is survived by: her siblings, Mark (Theresa), Chris (Lisa), Rick and Pat (Jeanette); her husband Frank McCready Jr.; her children, Shawn (Patty), Warren (Vicki) and Jennifer (Robert); her grandchildren, Derek, Danielle, Michael, Dallas, Brianna and Rijker; her great grandchildren, Lexis and Kylee; and her family Betty Boop. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Melanie's memory to Lincoln Country Humane Society or The Heart & Stroke Foundation and can be made through the funeral home.
