It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine (Burt) Mary O'Connor (South Mountain, Ontario), who passed away on May 19, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sister-in-law Suzan Turner (Mike). She is survived by: her spouse Marlyn O'Connor; her children, Lisa Vreman (Don) and Doug O'Connor (Alison); her grandchildren, David, Benjamin, Emily Vreman, Calum and Duncan O'Connor; and her sisters-in-law, Kathleen Davis (Richard), Donna Baker (Douglas) and Ellen Simpson (Rick). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Byers Funeral Home (2990 Church St, South Mountain, ON K0E1W0). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Daniels Catholic Church (2985 Church St, South Mountain, ON K0E1W0).
By family request donations may be made in Memory of Joey to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Winchester District Memorial Hospital.
