With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Gates (South River, Ontario), who passed away on August 17, 2022 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his wife Joyce VanDuzen; his children, Fred Gates (Rozlynn), Tim Gates, Mark Gates, Ashley Gates, Jake VanDuzen-Gates (Hailey Reid), Hunter VanDuzen-Gates (Adrien Bourassa) and Will VanDuzen-Gates; and his brothers-in-law, Henry VanDuzen and Bill VanDuzen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
