He was predeceased by: his brothers, Cyril, Roger (Anne), Andre and Gerard (Liliane); and his parents, Eduard Vanhoucke and Leonie Vanhoucke (Titeca).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Vanhoucke (Howe); his daughter Mary Margaret Prior (Johnny); his grandchild Stirling Prior; his siblings, Maurice (late Jackie), Godelieve Poppe (late Fred) and Monique Wood (Malcom); and his siblings-in-law, Donna Vanhoucke, Marie Geerts, Paul Howe (Alice), Elizabeth Howe (Gerard Payeur), Heather Bergman (Albert), John Howe, Jim Howe (Marianne) and Tom Howe (Donna). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home (119 Talbot St E, Aylmer, ON N5H1H3).
