He was predeceased by: his wife Grace; and his granddaughter Rebecca Veld. He is survived by: his children, Frank Wielinga (Aviva), Dave Wielinga (Christine), Albert Wielinga (Glenda), Jeanette Veld (Calvin), Jacob Wielinga (Angela) and Bert Wielinga (Jeanette); his siblings, Houweltje Posthumus and Griet Tilma (Willem); and his sibling-in-law Okje Vellema (Janco) of The Netherlands. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
