With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lorrice Carruthers of Sprucedale, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Eric; and her son-in-law Walter Grohman. She is survived by: her children, Daloris Grohman and Kenneth Carruthers (Laurie Straub); her grandchildren, Kathleen (Wes), Kasey (Katie), Jamey (Jason) and Trevor (Loni); her great grandchildren, Knox, Mackenzie, Maisie, Zev and Myla; her siblings, Lauraleigh Brumwell, Lorrin Mayes (Mary) and Laurene Wyenberg; David.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendrier Elgin Mills Cemetery and Funeral Centre (1591 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill, ON L4S1M9). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 3:15 PM at the Elgin Mills Cemetery and Funeral Centre (1591 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill, ON L4S1M9).
