As Bartele departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Bartele may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Bartele leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hemke VanderZwaag and Frederika VanderZwaag; and his wife Dory.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Trinity United Reformed Church (99 Scott St, St. Catharines, ON L2N1G8). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
