With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Eva Erna Dalke (St. Catharines, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Eva left this world on December 7, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert; her parents, Ernst Gnass and Marie Gnass; and her siblings, Erich, Walter, Bruno, Gunther Gnass, Gertrud Matejka and Margarethe Larisch.
She is survived by: her daughters, Doris Milette (David) of Moncton and Karen; her grandchildren, Juliana, Tobias, Nicholas, Justin, Emmelia Gallas, Rachel, Gabriel and Isabel Milette; her sisters, Ursula Krebs, Renate Laporte and Helga Luehmann; and her sister-in-law Ursula Gnass of Kingston.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (213 Linwell Rd, St. Catharines, ON L2N1S1). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Victoria Lawn Cemetery (431 Queenston St, St. Catharines, ON L2P2Y3). Over the past ten years our mom bravely faced widowhood, the pandemic, recovery from a stroke in 2021 and four years in long-term care.
Memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Benevolent Society Heidehof.
