He was predeceased by: his father Joe Cyr; and his son Glen Cyr Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Janet Cyr; his wife Cathy Cyr; his siblings, Heather Jackson (Tom), Lynn Thompson (Cyr), Peter Cyr (Kelly) and Maureen Cyr; his children, Courtney Saunders (Andrew), Devon Willis (Rob), Joe Cyr and Alycia Cyr; and his grandchildren, Hunter, Layla, Priscillia, Sawyer, Scarlett and Austin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pleasantview Funeral Home (2000 Merrittville Hwy., Thorold, ON L0S1E6). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pleasantview Memorial Gardens (2250 ON-20, Fonthill, ON L0S1E6). A reception will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Pleasantview Funeral Home (2000 Merrittville Hwy., Thorold, ON L0S1E6).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Glen's memory to the SickKids Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
