She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas Edwin McDermott; and her sister Merle Carr. She is survived by: her children, Wayne McDermott (Linda), Patricia McDermott and Micki McDermott-Nielsen; her grandchildren, Paula Hilson, Victoria Nielsen-Jones (Chris), Rebecca Montemurro-Bader (Ted), Dane Nielsen (Tara), Kaely McDermott-Debuc (Adrian) and Micheil McDermott (Amanda); and her sister Gladys Dolan. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
