He is survived by: his wife Gisele; his children, Gary Beam (Karla), Brian Beam and Daril Beam (Ingrid); his grandchildren, Spencer, Jordan (Alicia), Mason, Mitchell (Alex) and Madeleine (Will Langman); and his great grandchild Sutton.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church (272 Vine St, St. Catharines, ON L2M4T3). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church (272 Vine St, St. Catharines, ON L2M4T3). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made in Howard's honour to Covenant House would be appreciated by the family.
