In the vast expanse of eternity, Jean Donalda shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jean Donalda farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

Now gone, the major expansion of the Hotel Dieu Hospital on Ontario Street came from the efforts of H J Carmichael and the south wing was named for his efforts and donation.
