He was predeceased by: his parents, Harm Smit and Hendrikje Smit; and his brother-in-law Raymond. He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his father-in-law Adolf DeJong (Mary); and his sisters-in-law, Joyce, Sandra (John), Yvonne (Dan) and Cindy. He is also survived by his 6 sisters and 1 brother.
