He was predeceased by: his brother Peter; and his brothers-in-law, Alex and Brian. He is survived by: his spouse Harma; his children, Larry Verbruggen (Lisa), Karen Verbruggen, Debbie DeBonte (Harold), Mark Verbruggen and Nicolette Vriens; his grandchildren, Richie (Kerry), Joshua (Melanie), Curtis, Alyssa (Jonathan), Matthew (Julianna), Haley, Isaac, Zack, Hannah, Sarah, Josiah, Michael, Miles, Nicholas and Nash; and his siblings, Irene, Grace and Neil (Rynie).
