As we bid adieu to Lida's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Lida has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her husband Peter Wiebe; and her parents, Erich Hecht and Maria Hecht (Kopeschny). She is survived by: her sisters, Alida (Gerhard) and Frida (Ernst); and her siblings-in-law, Justina Ens, Margaret Milligan (William) and John Wiebe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Baptist Church (605 Vine St, St. Catharines, ON L2M3V4). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Victoria Lawn Cemetery (431 Queenston St, St. Catharines, ON L2P2Y3).
