She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Albert Lalande and Clotilde Lalande; her significant other Mel Chivers; her sister Rosalyn Charland; her children, Jill, Tracy and James; her grandchildren, Mike, Shannon (Jay), Carrie (P. J.) and Nicola; her great grandchildren, James (Allyson), Nathan, Branden, Owen and Allison; and her sister Diane Wolkowski. She was also cherished by her nieces and nephews.
