She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Pietro; her parents, Domenico Fontana and Giovanna Ommi; her children, Sylvana Lagrotteria (late Domenic), Rossana Colonna-Spagnolo (Tony) and Daniela Sirotnik (Michael); and her grandchildren, Paolo Lagrotteria (Sheryl), Danny Lagrotteria (Maryrose), Mario Lagrotteria (Paula), David Lagrotteria (Melanie), Marc Sirotnik (Olivia), Pier Spagnolo (Mackenzie), Marilena Spagnolo, Brianna Sirotnik (Noah), Bisnonna, Sophia, Rhys, Aubrey, Tessa, Marcus, Macie, Samuel, Nicholas, Joshua and Nathan. She was also cherished by her parents and six siblings.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the George Darte Funeral Home (585 Carlton St, St. Catharines, ON L2M4Y1). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church (272 Vine St, St. Catharines, ON L2M4T3). An entombment was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pleasantview Memorial Gardens (2250 ON-20, Fonthill, ON L0S1E6).
