Martha Fransen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Fransen (St. Catharines, Ontario), who passed away on February 15, 2026 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Martha Fransen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jakob A. Rempel and Sophie Rempel; her husband Henry Fransen (Heinz); and her sons, Edgar and Erwin.
She is survived by: her siblings, Alexander, Eleonore Janzen, Paul, Peter, Ernie and Magdalena; her in-laws, Nikolai Fransen, Tina Klassen Fransen, Tina Martens Fransen, Jake Fransen, George Fransen, Herta Fransen and Werner Fransen; her siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Rempel, Herb Fransen (Mary), Edith Fransen (Harold Regier), Adelaide Fransen and Kay Ann Fransen Weidner; her children, Walter, Ted (Esther), Eleanor and Christine of W's Nancy; her grandchildren, James, Ryan (Brandi), Brian (Lori), Robert, Sonja and Dylan Parker; her great grandchildren, Logan, Trystan, Kayla, Connor, Alex (Blair), Jayda, Vaughn, Judah, Elijah, Quinn and HenryAnd; and her great great grandchildren, LoganAnd Marcene and Ashley.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tallman Funeral Homes (3277 King St, Vineland, ON L0R2C0). Visitation was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Linwell Church (335 Linwell Rd, St. Catharines, ON L2N1T6). A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. After our father died, she continued living in their house and continued working in the garden and going to water fitness classes in the local pool and continued to drive her own car until her early 90's just before the pandemic hit.
