He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Curran and Ada Curran (Robbins); and his siblings, Mary Isabel Carleton (Stanley), John Curran (Marian), Charles Curran (Marion), Patricia Barr (Joe), Katherine Maughan (Bill) and Lynn Packer (Lloyd).

He is survived by: his former wife Linda Thibert (Prudom); his spouse Coralee Curran (Atkinson); his children, Colleen Curran-Fotopoulos (Gordon Frey), Joseph Curran (Susana Junco), Katie (Curran), Priebe (Chris Sparks) and Michael Curran (Angela); his great grandchild Lyllian Fotopoulos; and also Mathew.

He announced that he had read every book in the local library through the covid years to stay sane.
