He was predeceased by: his brother William Van Vliet. He is survived by: his children, Connie DeRoche (late Al) and Bill Van Vliet (Audrey); his grandchildren, Mark Van Vliet (Melanie), Sarah Suk (John), Mary Tigchelaar (Matthew), Jeremy DeRoche (Karina) and Katrina Vermeer (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Timothy, Emily, Joshua, Nicholas, Averie, Addison, Lincoln and Mackenzie; his siblings, Art Van Vliet (Mag), Jean Heida (late Richard) and Alice Westerveld (late Bernard); and his wife Tina Mechelse.
