He was predeceased by: his son Eric Herbst (Nettie); and his parents, Heinrich Herbst and Selma Herbst. He is survived by: his wife Gerda; his daughters, Heidi Booth (Graham) and Kristine Scott (Steven); his granddaughters, Emma, Megan and Myra; and his sister Erika (late Mike). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 24th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the George Darte Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (585 Carlton St, St. Catharines, ON L2M4Y1). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
