Sonja Huber Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 28, 2026, at the age of 100, Sonja Huber (St. Catharines, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Sonja farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Sonja is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She is survived by: her husband Walter Huber; her children, Bernie Huber, Rick Huber (Kathleen) and Renate Grodek (Ray); her grandsons, Mike Huber, Matt Huber (Jessica), Adam Grodek (late Erin) and Andrew Grodek; and her great grandchild Hailey Huber.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Butler Funeral Home (424 Niagara St, St. Catharines, ON L2M4W3). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (213 Linwell Rd, St. Catharines, ON L2N1S1).
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Niagara would be greatly appreciated by the family.
