He is survived by: his wife Connie; his sons, Ross (Katie Modolo) and Lawrence (Jess Dodd); his grandchildren, Alice, Violet, Olivia, Charlie and Oscar; and his siblings, Jack Beattie (Sandy), Don Beattie, Howie Beattie (Val) and Mary Miller (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations, financial or blood, to Canadian Blood Services in Doug's name to honor his 192 lifetime blood donations.
