She was predeceased by: her husband Albert; her granddaughter Michelle Bolahan (Keith); her parents, Wilfred Mercey and Violet Mercey; her parents-in-law, Fred and Bertha Cook; her siblings, Charles Mercey (Florence) and Darlene Gilkinson (Roy); her siblings-in-law, June Watson (Ken), Marion Brohman (Bill) and Joyce Andrews (Fred); her son-in-law Norman Kent; her grandson Dawson Waytena; and her nieces and nephews, Charmaine, Lynn, Rochelle, Danny and Christopher.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Kent (late Norman), Patricia Golob (Randy), Cheryl Hoad (Larry) and Steve Cook (Penny); her grandchildren, Nicholas Kent (Valerie), Sandi Waytena (Matt), Kevin Clark (Kandace), Dwayne Clark (Laura), Thomas Hoad (Nicole) and Robert Hoad (Candace); her siblings, Sheila Horst (Wayne) and Paul Mercey (Gwen); her sister-in-law Mabel Pauli (Lloyd); her friend Nelson Broderick (late Bertha); and her family, Avon and Yvonne. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the George Darte Funeral Home (585 Carlton St, St. Catharines, ON L2M4Y1).
