Abner left this world on October 2, 2025 at the age of 44, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He is survived by: his wife Salema; his children, Joanne, Elverne Bauman of Plainfield, ON, LynnMarie, Tyson, Lanetta and Jolene; his grandchild Kyran; his mother-in-law Anna Bearinger Fondly; his siblings, Melvin (Mary Brubacher), Amsey (Lena Brubacher), Betty (Eli Wideman), Sidney (Anna Brubacher), Sarah (Melvin Weber), Annie (Cleon Frey) and Mary Brubacher of Matheson, ON.; and his siblings-in-law, Alma, Elmer Martin of Conn, ON, Edna, Charles Martin of Ebenezer, PE, Eva, Elmer Wideman of Stirling, ON, Viola, Cleason Martin of Holstein, ON, Luella, Ammon Weber of Wallenstein, ON, Vietta, Peter Martin of Bobcaygeon, ON, Maryann, Paul Martin of Lindsay, ON, Maynard, Laura Bearinger of Holstein, ON, Matthew, Alexis Bearinger of Ariss, ON, Allen and Catherine Bearinger of Wallenstein, ON.. He is also survived by nieces as well as many friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dayspring Conservative Mennonite Church (172 Wilson Rd, Stirling, ON K0K3E0). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Maranatha Church (100 College St W, Belleville, ON K8P2G5). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Luke's Cemetery (2 Huntingdon Township, Ontario).
