She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Albert Ellis; her children, Lori Bennett (David), Wayne Ellis (Melissa Brandsma) and Kevin Ellis (Jacquie Schmidt); her grandchildren, Carleen Reade (Dennis), Andrew Bennett, Graeme Ellis and Jillian Bennett (Trevor Lewis); her great grandchildren, Wyatt and Josephine Reade; and her sisters, Helen Dunnill and Joyce Hunter (Ray).
