He was predeceased by : his parents, James Murray and Ruth McGee. He is survived by : his sister Mary Sue McCarthy. He is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews, their families, and several great-great nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19, a celebration of his life will be postponed until gatherings are permitted.
