With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Brigida Paiano of Stoney Creek, Ontario, who passed away on December 26, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Giovanni; her child Nicola (Maria Grazia); her in-laws, Antonio, Angela Malatesta, Nicola and Filomena Paiano; and her siblings, Rosa Pietrangelo (late Carmine), Teresa Pietrangelo (late Michele), Giuseppina Perfetto (late Carmine), Carmine (late Nicolina), Vincenzo (Eleonora) and Pasquale (late Addolorata).
She is survived by: her daughter Anna Pirrera (Salvatore); her grandchildren, Jonathan (Mackenzie), Angelo, Giulia, Marisa and Sophia; her sister-in-law Antonietta Pitoscia (late Gennaro); and her sibling's child S. A..
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith's Funeral Home - Stoney Creek (454 Hwy 8, Hamilton, ON L8E5Z7). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, December 31st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church (63 Highway 20 East, Stoney Creek, ON L8J2W9).
