The passing of Carmine Capretta of Stoney Creek, Ontario leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 28, 2025 at the age of 87. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Antonio, Alberto, Michele and Alfredo. He is survived by: his wife Elena; his children, Fred, Julie Capretta, Dina, Mike Meunier, Bruno Capretta and Trish Maher; his grandchildren, Beth Meunier (Andy), Annie Capretta (Melvin) and Peter Capretta (Rory); his great grandchild Sophie Bayoneto; and his sister Gioconda. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, his extended family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Smith's Funeral Home - Stoney Creek (454 Hwy 8, Hamilton, ON L8E5Z7). A prayer was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 8:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church (304 Hwy 8, Hamilton, ON L8G1E6).
